My First Dip (Down Under)

It wasn't the Indian Ocean, but well, it was near enough.

Looking For Penguins / Auf der Suche nach Pinguinen

We took a ferry to Penguin Island to find some penguins...

Wir haben eine Fähre nach Penguin Island, einige Pinguine zu finden...

 Lots of swallows, seagulls....no penguins
Viele der Schwalben und Möwen... keine Pinguinen

Big big pelicans! Still no penguins....
Große große Pelikane! Noch keine Pinguinen....



 There! We found one!
(Daddy blames Mummy for zooming in on the stair instead)

 Alright, these don't count, but they are still penguins!

They were rescued by the people at the research center here, they live here because they aren't able to survive in the wild.

Okay, diese zählen nicht, aber sie sind immer noch Pinguine!

Sie wurden von den Menschen am Forschungszentrum hier gerettet, sie leben hier, weil sie nicht in der Lage zu überleben in freier Wildbahn.

 Educational, but yes....boring.

We had a picnic at Aunty Janet and Uncle Victor's place

Fremantle

 We went to Cottlesloe Beach in west Perth

 The Indian Ocean is nice and cold even when it was 39 degrees that day.

 So we went on to Fremantle, a nice little port city....

 not a bad place,

 I checked out a university....

 and fell asleep during lunch.

That was my day at Fremantle!

Prevelly - Our Apartment

Vineyard

 Mummy and Daddy too me to many vineyards, here was the first one at Hamelin Bay near Margaret River.

 I was not so interested in wines.

Vineyards are not so bad if they give you a big ball to play with.
