Mummy & Papa are completely tickled.

Maybe I shall start crawling next week.

Mama und Papa sind total begeistert. Ich glaube ich fange naechste Woche an zu krabbeln.

One Month Old

Today I am one month old.

On Friday last week, my parents and I were very busy with my Full Month gift box which we had to deliver to many people because turning 1 month is a big deal. There were two brownies, two mochi and two red eggs. The red eggs are a Chinese tradition and must be given to family and friends when a baby is one month old.

Am Freitag bin ich einen Monat alt geworden. Nach Chinesischer Tradition, haben wir rote Eier und anderen Krams in einer Kiste an die Familie verteilt. Keine Ahnung was das soll. Mama konnte es nicht so recht erklaeren aber zumindest sind wir ne Weile in der Gegend rumgefahren.

The other tradition is to shave the baby's head. I am glad Mummy and Papa decided not to do that to me.

Eine zweite Tradition ist es, den Kopf zu rasieren. Gut dass wir nicht allzu traditionell sind. Meine haare fallen mir ohnehin aus.

4 Weeks

On Friday I turned 4 weeks old. I joined Mummy and Papa and Uncle Tobi for dinner at Uncle Francois and Auntie Lara's house.  But the conversations were too boring and I slept the whole time. I think nobody minded.

Morning Nap

 My Papa likes to take pictures of me when I am sleeping. He seems to think that everything I do is cute.
Papa denkt was auch immer ich tue ist suess. Er fotografiert mich sogar im Schlaf. Recht hat er.

Me and my Fist

 One of my favourite sports is fisticuffs -- or kung fu as Grandma likes to call it. And why not, I have such nice, strong fists.
Seht ihr die Faust. Mit mir ist nicht zu spassen.

 Besides punching Mummy when she's trying to feed me, I like to stuff them in my mouth when my food takes too long to get to me....
Aber ich nutze meine Faust nicht nur um Mama zu hauen. Manchmal esse ich die Faust auch ganz gerne.

 ...I also use them to show my displeasure when nobody picks me up.
Oder ich nutze die Haende um zu zeigen, dass ich langsam genervt werde.

But don't worry, I am quite a nice little baby.... most of the time!
Aber macht euch keine Sorgen, eigentlich bin ich ein sehr liebes Baby.

Playdate with Dion

 On Friday, after my official issues were settled at the German Embassy, I had my play date with Dion.

As you can see, we had lots of fun together, about 5 minutes in all, after we drank and slept.

I had a busy day Friday: first to Mummy's office for some paperwork (and posing for all her colleagues of course); then to Raffles Place to get my picture taken.

Freitag war DER TAG. Ich habe meine deutsche Geburtsurkunde und meinen deutschen Pass beantragt. Erst brauchte ich mal ein Passfoto.

Fertig, weiter geht's.

 I stayed asleep the whole time but it was okay, the German Embassy accepts photos with eyes closed.

Gut dass die deutsche Botschaft recht flexibel ist. Ich durfte meine Augen fuer das Passfoto geschlossen lassen und habe einfach weiter geschlafen.

Dann hiess es erst mal warten, warten und warten.

 Then to the embassy for my birth certificate application. It took so long and was boring so I stayed asleep. Papa and Mummy were very pleased with me because I was quiet.

Als das Foto gemacht war, ging es zur Botschaft. Es dauerte endlos lang. Ich hoffe ich werde effizienter sein als die deutsche Regierung. Papa hat nen Freund der fuer die Regierung arbeitet. Jetzt weiss ich was Papa meint, wenn we sagt dass da nicht viel getan wird. Wie auch immer, ich war brav und habe geschlafen.

Und ploetzlich war alles erledigt.

My New Pacifier Creeps Mummy Out

she says it's creepy and reminds her of this movie.

Dion and I Go To Dinner

Finally, I got to meet my friend Dion on Saturday!

Endlich habe ich am Samstag meinen Freund Dion!

We had a chat over coffee.... well, our Mummies chatted and we just drank,

Wir haben uns waehrend eine Tasse Kaffee unterhalten... also, unsere Muetter unterhielten sich und wir haben einfach nur getrunken,

We discussed why Dion still had no hair after 3 months (he seemed rather jealous of my do)

Wir diskutierten, warum dion mit 3 Monaten noch keine Haare hat (er scheint sehr neidisch auf meine Frisur zu sein)

Then it was time to go to dinner but I refused to go to sleep.

Dann war zeit fuers Abendessen aber ich weigerte mich zu schlafen.

I wanted to have my dinner at the restaurant with the big people too.

Ich wollte mein Abendessen zusammen mit den Erwachsenen im Restauraunt essen.



As usual, I got my own way!
